Warp and weft

Silkscreenprinted on handmade paper, this print features repeats of a well known textile motif, which stand in for the comb used in preparing cotton boll for the spinning wheel. Created by Aditi Jain for the visual anthology, Travelling Patterns, it is part of a sequence of images that comprise traditional Indian textile motifs, and which tell a story of weaving.
